Hi Greg.

Thanks for that. I had set up the devices according to those instructions but no joy. I've tried unlinking, uninstalling, reinstalling and relinking my phone & the apps too but no results. I did have Edge Deflector installed, so I'm wondering if that might have something to do with it possibly?

In that case, you can try disabling Edge Deflector and see if it resolves the issue.

If you had an app installed to deflect from Edge then that seems a prime suspect.

Make sure there's no uninstall tool needed to get it all out after uninstall

I will walk you through the fixes for Edge to try progressively until it's fixed:

Back up your Favorites first in Edge Settings > Import from another Browser > Export to a File. If it won't open you can reach Favorites to back them up to an HTML file using the tiny app Manage Edge Favorites here: http://www.emmet-gray.com/Articles/EdgeManage.html

You can reset Edge in Settings>Apps>Apps and Feature, scroll down to Microsoft Edge, highlight it, choose Advanced Options, then Repair, or if that fails, Reset.

If that doesn't help then try re-registering the app following Option Two here: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/3175-apps-re...

If necessary you can reinstall it from this link: http://www.intowindows.com/how-to-reinstall-mic...

If that doesn't help then check the System Files:

I would have several other browsers available to choose from on the Task Bar since Edge is a work in progress and unreliable. I use Firefox, Edge and Chrome in that order of preference. You can import Favorites from each other easily in Settings.

Edge is being rebuilt right now on the Chrome chassis and will be reissued soon:

Hi, and thanks for that. I got as far as re-registering Edge, but the commands didn't work both in the command prompt and Powershell...

I skipped forward and ran sfc /scannow, which didn't return any errors. Interestingly when I try continue on PC the hourglass appears by the mouse pointer for a few seconds, so something is happening.

Also Edge Dev Chromium is proving to be very stable for me so far, I've had no real issues with it.

Did you copy and paste the exact re-register command into the Command Prompt from Shawn's tutorial?

Try reinstalling Edge next.
